STEVE JOBS 1955 – 2001

Today, we awoke to the sad news that Steve Jobs had past away.

It is a sad day indeed for the Technology industry as it loses one of its visionaries.

We saw the signs with Steve’s empty seat at the iPhone 4S announcement and the less than upbeat presentations by the Apple execs. It seemed that they knew that Steve was gravely ill.

Many people have already given there comments on the passing of Steve Jobs and we can not anything more meaningful than they already have.

We hoped this day would never come, but it has and we give our condolences and best wishes to Steve’s family at this difficult time.

We will close with the email that Apple’s CEO Time Cook sent to email employees:

I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories and condolences in the interim, you can simply email

No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.

Steve Job’s has resigned from his post of CEO of Apple.

This was not the news I was expecting to wake up to this morning. We have seen it coming for some time, but it is still a shock. Here is the letter given to apple.

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have often said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the 1st to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees match, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly suggest that we execute our succession program and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I think Apple’s brightest and most revolutionary days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its achievement in a new function.

I have created some of the finest close friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many many years of becoming ready to work alongside you.

We wish Steve, Tim and Apple all the best for the future.

Overnight WebOS 3.0.2. was rolled out as an over the air update for the Touchpad.

Luckily, one of our reporters was awake to see it happen and even tweeted his findings.

This is a must have update for all Touchpad users as it fixes many of the minor issues that have been making the Touchpad less enjoyable to use.

The update includes the following improvements:

  • Calculator App added
  • Clock App (with alarm clock) added.
  • Fixed deletion of apps issue, that cleared data from other apps.
  • Fixed screen rotation issue.
  • Improved preformance.
  • Improved Auto Correction
  • Improved Email
  • Improved Photo & Video App*
  • Improved Skype calling
  • Many Bugs Fixes

* We have found a new bug in the Photo & Video app that making images saved from the web continually refresh and not appear fully, but the App overall is much improved.

It is good to see HP deliver on one of its promises (if a day or two late). Now all I need is to be able to edit word processor and spreadsheet documents and have access to my kindle books and I will be a very happy Touchpad user.
