RE-REVIEW OF EVAC HD AND MOBILE F1 2012 HD

Here are two application that have been updated since our original review and have been improved.

EVAC HD : 85% (up from 80%)

Evac for those you missed the original review is a cross between pacman and a puzzle game. You have to collect all the dots on the level to open the exit to move to the next level, and you are chased around the maze by enemies. However, Evac adds puzzles like movable blocks and spikes, then require puzzle solving too. There are several enemies to help protect you before the evil red blocks. This latest update has improved gameplay and best of all the controls. Before the twitchy controls could ruin a puzzle by accident, now this is not the case. The better controls have allowed me to continue to progress in the game. This game is now well worth downloading, if you had not tried it before.

Mobileng F1 2012 HD: Now 70% (up from 64%)

This applications has only recently been released, but has already seen several improvements that make it more useful to the F1 fans out there. It now links into the Formula1.com rss feed to get the lastest F1 news and there has also been the addition qualifying information for the races. I have a feeling that you may have to wait for an update for the next results to be added to the application, but at least this means tweaks and extras may also be added over time. I still wish that there was a little more, like driver information, but this one is worth a look for all the F1 fans now.

RE-REVIEW OF BRACKET TRACKIT & READON TOUCH PRO

Here are two application that have been updated since our original review and have been improved.

Bracket Trackit : 77% (up from 73%)

This application has been tweaked and improved since the last review, which was not very long ago. If you like tracking your events (especially with the olympics on there way) you can track them using this application. You can even download some sample events to see how the application looks with a populated bracket. The themes have been tweaked and a few bugs squashed. This really does feel like a professional application. If you are tracking a sports event it is a must have. It is still a bit laggy at times, but generally a great application.

ReadOnTouch PRO : Now 85% (up from 82%)

This application continues to updated and improved. Since the last time we reviewed it has dropped in price and now half price. It has added several sharing features that are very useful. Syncing appear to be faster. It can also be linked to other applications like MeOrg and Advanced Browser. The all-round experience has been tweaked and if you are a user of ReadItLater then you really do not this application. With the ability to read offline by caching articles you really can read where ever you are. If you are not a ReadItLater user, it makes it worthwhile signing up to the service.

RE-REVIEW OF RETUNE & VIDEOCATCHER DELUXE

Here are two application that have been updated since our original review and have been improved.

Retune : 80% (up from 70%)

This application acts as a remote control to iTunes on your computer. Since our original review the application has been improved and has added several features that were missing from the review version. You can now remote control all elemenents of iTune including the Movie and TV sections, which makes this a far more useful application. The user interface has been tweaked and I must say that this really is a match for the official Apple remote application. If you like iTunes this is a must have application.

Video PodCatcher Deluxe : Now 85% (up from 82%)

This application allows you to subscribe to podcasts (video and audio) direct from the Touchpad. When it was first released it had several of its features limited by the webOS restriction, but now over time, as the restrictions have been removed the application has become as it was originally planned. You can now stream video directly to the application and watch the video within the application. You can still download podcasts for watching offline later if you wish. There are even suggested podcasts when you come to add new feeds, which makes discovery a little easier.

RE-REVIEW OF GRAVE DEFENCE HD & TANKED

Here are two application that have been updated since our original review and have been improved.

GRave Defense HD : 83% (up from 78%)

The latest update to Grave Defence has added lots of new levels as well as several minor improvements to the gameplay. This is still one of the best tower defence games on the Touchpad. The gameplay and graphics are both very good, with some good tower and monster designs. Some of the levels are still overly long (making you play on fast forward) and a several levels where the final wave enemy can wipe out 20 minutes of game play as it races through gun fire that has decimated all the other waves.

Tanked : Now 80% (up from 74%)

This application has been improving over time, it now offers online multiplayer gameplay as well as between 2 and 4 multiplayer around the Touchpad using split screen gameplay. Multiplayer is something greatly lacking from most webOS games and I have to say that the online experiences I have had with the game are very good. This game is simple and will not win any awards, but it does offer fun gameplay and some laughs along the way (with the beagle weapon). I just wish there was more of a single player option (to practice before launching online).

RE-REVIEW OF TOUCH SURF & E NOTE

Here are two application that have been updated since our original review and have been improved.

Touch Surf : 83% (up from 78%)

Touch Surf has been improved since the original review. You now have much more control over the links and the catagories. You can now edit, add and delete links with ease. You can now remove categories you have no need for and make ones you do. I have found this useful in recent weeks as my son is doing some project work for school and has needed to bookmark several sites, I have just created a catagory in here for him. If you are looking to make surfing easy for someone, or typing to surf the web without wandering this is a good app to have.

E Notes : Now 85% (up from 82%)

E Notes has been improved to now add even more functionality to the application. You are now able to control your notes, tags and notebooks much more easily. If you are an Evernote user the application now matching the web experience and as a stand alone application syncs and searches better in a lot of ways. If you are an Evernote user then this application really has become a must have.
