The Internetz is an internet link launcher released by ConneX-Coding.
“This is an application with links to many of the most popular and most visted Internet sites for trolling and fooling around on. I made this so that I could have all the links in one easy place and could open them up in succession from one app.”
Let’s be honest here, this application is pretty simple.
The application opens showing a scrollable list of links to the internet. Tap on a link and that website will open in a seperate browser window.
The websites on offer are some of the normal mainstays of the internet, some are interesting sites that I had not visited before.
This links within the applications are not changeable, which is a real shame. As it would have been nice to add your own favorite links and remove sites that are no real interest to you.
There are no preferences in the application, so what you see is what you get. I would have liked an alternative to the black theme.
The user interface is very simple, but has the basics covered.
On the upside:
- Useful for discovering new sites.
- Quick links to some of your favorite sites.
On the downside:
- Cannot change the links.
- Colour scheme may not appeal to everyone.
Overall, this application really has the feeling of being developed for an individual’s needs, and then put it onto Homebrew. I would have been much improved with the ability to change the links. It is certainly no competition to applications like TouchSurf that does this so much better. That said, it is a free application and did introduce me to some new interesting sites.
