Fruit Catch is a relax action game released by William Townsend.

“Catch as much fruit as possible to set a new high score in this fast paced arcade game. Drag the flying fruit into the matching basket as quickly as you can! Extra combo points are awarded for speed, accuracy and use of multi-touch!”

This game is simple in design. You are given 60 seconds to grab all the fruit you can and put it into the correct baskets.

The faster you get the fruit into the baskets you may be awarded a bonus point or two. At the end of the 60 seconds you will be give a score.

That is about it for the game, the developer has promised more to come, as it was written for the App Hack competition (which it won). Future enhancements included power ups and improved grahics. However, we are reviewing what you get for the money at the moment.

The game is control by touching the fruit and dragging them into the boxes. The game does support multi touch, so you can team up and get better scores.

The graphics and sound are both reasonable, but nothing outstanding.

On the upside:

  • Simple game.
  • Fast and Fun gameplay.

On the downside:

  • Repetitive.
  • Longevity, there is not much here to keep you coming back at the moment.

Overall, this is an enjoyable little game, it is very much for the casual gamer. It is good as a reaction tester, but there is nothing here that will keep your interest for that long. Hopefully the future updates will bring more the game, and it can become like Fruit Ninja on iOS (Simple, Fun and Entertaining.)
