Inky’s Revenge is a clone of the classic arcade game Pac Man is released by CMCS.

(even the Touchpad screenshot called itself PacMan)

The application is basically a conversion of the original Pac-man with a few different maps, by the character, ghosts and power pills are as the original

The idea of the game, as if you did not know, is collect the pills and avoid the ghosts. Collect the big power pills to make the ghost edible for a short time. When the maze is clear of pills you move onto the next maze.

There are three levels of difficult Easy, Normal and Hard.

Control wise you have a joystick stick that centers on were you place your finger on the screen, but this does not week well. I would have preferred a flick control or a “still joystick”.

The graphics and sound are as the original. Retro gamers will be pleased to see the game that looks like the original.

On the upside:

  • Classic arcade action
  • Still fun to play are all these years

On the downside:

  • Pac Man is showing it’s age.
  • Repetitive, but so was the original and we still played it for hours.
  • Controls are not great, needs some tweaking.

Overall, this is a good conversion of a retro classic. It is let down by the poor controls which make you concentrate way too much. It is still fun to play and brings back memories of the original pac man. Well worth picking up if you are a fan.
