WritePad is a simple note taking tool and is released by Avner Arbel.

WritePad allows you create plain text documents on the Touchpad and then copy them into other applications or keep for later.

When you add your document, a blank page appears and you can get to work, just remember to save if you want it later.

The user interface is simple and clean, you can change the font size as you wish, the font will not align with the background lines if you do.

The interface also has very useful cursor forward and backwards buttons to quickly get back a word or two to fix a spelling.

The application allows you to export out text (copies text into another app) to email, chat, memo, spaz and facebook.

On the upside:

  • Simple User Interface.
  • Supports Hebrew
  • Lots of copy out options for exporting out your text.

On the downside:

  • Save is hidden under the documents drop down, meaning you can forget to save.
  • Automatically saves to clipboard so can wipe out something you have not pasted yet.

Overall, this is very good note taking tool, but has a few fews that stop it being great. If you have a little more money or want dropbox then TapNote is the better option. However, if you like to move your text around on the Touchpad then this is a good solution and cheaper to.
