Clipboard for webOS is as cut/paste tool and is released by Inglorious Apps.

So, why would I want a tool that cuts and pastes text between applications when it is already built into webOS.

The answer to that one is simple, webOS does it fairly badly and does not support multiple items in the clipboard.

So is multiple clippings the only reason to get Clipboard? No, because it does far more than that.

The options that are available are very good, including the ability to edit the clipboard item within the application, so if you want to change a word or two before you paste it you can.

You can also email, tweet or send direct to applications like memos. The clipboard is always available in the notification bar, so if you paste the same few lines into emails etc, you can use it in a similar way to a text expander.

On top of this you can delete individual or all clipboard items.

The user interface is clean and easy to use. The clipboard in the notification bar is also easy to navigate.

On the upside:

  • Nice and clean user interface.
  • Easy to get the text to where it needs to be.

On the downside:

  • Some of the formatting of text can be lost, with carriage returns being replaced with <br> (depending on the app)

Overall, this is an excellent clipboard for the Touchpad. It is such a simple application, but makes life that little bit easier when multitasking. I just wish that webOS Cut and Copy could be improved for grabbing the text in the first place, because once it is in the clipboard you are sorted.
