TWiT HD is an application for accessing the TWiT webfeeds and is released by

For people looking for a pod cast application for the Touchpad there are a little set available at the moment, and we plan to review some of these very soon.

If you are a big fan of the TWiT network podcasts /netcasts then this application could well be an option for you.

When you first open the applications you will see the left hand side of the screen has all the TWiT shows shown as squares with the netcast logo for each. On the right are some details of the selected netcast. You can use the slider to widen the view of the details.

Basically the application allows you to quickly and easily access the netcast (video streams) of the shows, allowing you to etiher download the video to Touchpad or Stream. If you select to stream the video, a new card will open with a browser window with the video.

The user interface is nice, with a simple and clean layout.

On the upside:

  • It is Free.
  • Gives the TWiT website a nice UI

On the downside:

  • Really the same as you can find on the TWiT website.
  • Would have been nice to filter the list of shows to your favorites.

Overall, this application looks and feels like a pro web developer has built it to pull together the TWiT website together in one place with a nice UI to use themselves and then released for free on the HP App Catalog. This is not a bad thing and gives Touchpad users a nice way to access their favorite TWiT shows.
