A MONSTER ATE MY HOMEWORK [MAC] – REVIEW (80%)

13 Jun

A Monster Ate My Homework is a physics based puzzle game released by Geek Beach.

Monster have stolen your homework and you need to recover the missing items over 80 levels of puzzle actions.

The basics of the game, is you are presented with a puzzle, which has three “homework” items and then several monster blocks around them. You need to remove all the monster blocks without losing the three homework items from the play area. This is done by throwing balls at the monsters.

The game is controlled by using the mouse to target and throw balls. The cursor keys are used to rotate the view of the area.

The graphics and sound are good, with a nice and cute block monsters.

On the upside:

  • Well designed puzzle game
  • Fun to play

On the downside:

  • Pretty tricky on later levels.

Overall, this is an enjoyable puzzle game, the use of mouse and keyboard works well, but is not as fluid as the iOS version. That said, as a free game it is well worth adding to your Mac and with around 80 levels it will keep you going for some time.
