Draw Jump HD is a “jump” game with a difference and is released by Electronic Arts Nederland B.V.

The game puts you in control of Cosmo, a rocket man who wants to travel high into the sky, to be “Green” he decides to do this with trampolines rather than rocket fuel.

The basics of the game are to keep Cosmo jumping and getting as high as you can manage without falling down again. On the way you can collect Sunflowers, these will give you rocket power if you get enough, but they also affect the direction of Cosmos flight when he knocks into it. New elements come into play as you get higher into the sky, some of these make progress easier and others harder.

New elements include Stars that you rotate around for a moment, green sunflowers that you stick to and press to launch from, logs that block your rise or fall and rotating bars that can push you up or back.

The game is controlled by drawing a line (the trampoline) below Cosmo before he falls off the bottom of the screen.

There are several methods to Tweet and Facebook your achievements within the game. My best at this time is: 2986.

The graphics and sound are both nice, but nothing outstanding, but for a game like this they do not play a major part.

On the upside:

  • Fun and addictive little game
  • Cute main character

On the downside:

  • As with all jump games on game over you have to do it all over again.
  • Repetitive game play.

Overall, this is not a game you expect to be released by Electronic Arts, but again they seem to have chosen a good game with several merits. The game is addictive, but does become repetitive over time. The game needs something extra to make it shine, maybe an update with bring this. All in all, it is a good release that is fun to play in small doses.
