Richard Llewellyn’s CarPool is a video podcast of interviews done while in a car.

The show is basically a weekly show where Robert Llewellyn give a lift to someone of interest and then films them talking in the car, the journey is then editted and the show comprises of what are the best bits of the conversions.

The podcast is presented by Robert Llewellyn (of Red Dwarf and Scrapheap Challenge fame) and I personally like him. The people he has had in the car varies from week to week, so one week you may have a famous actor the next a near unknown.

The sound and presentation are both very professional considering it is filmed inside a car.

On the upside:

  • Quite funny at time
  • The guests normally have something interesting to say.

On the downside:

  • Show is very random on content (depending if you are interested in the person interviewed).

Overall, this is a very good video podcast and generally enjoyable. There have been some great guest on in the past, people that you would not see interviewed on TV, so this is wonderful. However, sometimes the guests are a little off the wall and have no real interest to me, however, sometimes I will watch and find they are more interesting then I believed.
