MY LITTLE RESTAURANT HD – REVIEW (80%)

01 May

My Little Restaurant HD is a management game and is released by QubicGames.

The idea of the game is you have been asked to help out in running a restaurant by Mr Robertson. you select between Micky and Annie. No matter which you play the story remains similar, the other cooks in the kitchen while your character serves the tables.

The basics of the game are to seat the customers as they arrive, then take their orders, serve them and then collect the money along with the dirty dishs. You need to keep the incoming customers happy and get them seated as soon as other customers have eaten.

There are lots of little extras each level, just to add something new to the mix and keep things moving along.

The game is controlled by tapping on the tables to server or section of the serving counter that you wish to use. You also drag the customers over to the tables.

The graphics and sound are very good. The graphic are very cute anime in style.

On the upside:

  • Well designed user interface.
  • Mini games and animations to keep the game interesting

On the downside:

  • Sometimes the customers come in too fast for the amount of tables available, and apart from the music to keep them happy there is little you can do.
  • The counter clicks are not always registered, not sure it the counter needs to be bigger or if it is my fat finger.

Overall, this is one of the better management sims I have played there is always something new each level, be it a power up, a new item or different design of the restaurant. I am not a huge fan of management sims, but this one did keep my interest. I think a few tweaks are need to make things a bit better. If you are a fan of this type of game, then this application is well worth a look and there is a lite version to try if you are not sure.
