Neon Mania is a line tracing game released by Vivid Games.

This is a strange puzzle game, you are giving a group of lines to trace and a limited time to do it with. You will need a steady hand to trace the lines at times. You also need to trace the line in a set direction.

There are hundreds of these puzzles to complete in the game. These puzzle images are made in neon sign and can be nicely drawn like landmarks ans symbols. Each puzzle takes less than a minute to complete.

The basics of the game are simple, when the dark neon sign appears, you start to trace as fast as possible lighting in the sign. Once complete you will receive a number of stars depending on the speed and accurancy of the tracing.

There are two types of game mode, the main game where the stars are earned and a rush mode, which is a more frantic tracing game.

The game is controlled by touching the star at the end of the tracable lines and then drag the star to the end of the line, then moving to the next.

The sound in the game is nice. The graphics are good, with the bolts and wires of a neon sign, and the designs are good and in the case of the landscapes recognisable.

On the upside:

  • Well designed user interface.
  • Lots of pictures to complete.
  • Universal application

On the downside:

  • Sometimes seems a little too easy.

Overall, this is a great game and very enjoyable to play. It is very nice to see something different for a change. The game uses the touch interface well and the game works well on both iPhone and iPad. If you are looking for a good casual game which has lots of puzzles for only £0.59, then you could do a lot worst than picking up a copy of this game.
