SUCKER PUNCH MECH GUNNER – REVIEW (64%)

18 Mar

Sucker Punch Mech Gunner is a movie tie in released by Warner Bros.

You play the game as the pilot of a Mech who needs to way through the Pseudo WWI environment.

The idea of the game is to fight your way through the three levels of the game to reach and destroy a Zepplin.

The game is control by using a virtual d-pad to move around, and then using the machine guns and cannon to attack the enemies.

This game is small and only has three levels, and it can be completed within 15 minutes of play.

The graphics and sound are generally very good, and work well as part of the movie tie in.

On the upside:

  • Playable Mech game

On the downside:

  • Far to short
  • The gameplay is slow and plodding, rather than fast and furious

Overall, this is reasonable and it is clear the developers have taken some time over it, however, it is fair to short and to be honest not very exciting. If Warner Bros are trying to drum up some excitement for the Sucker Punch movie, then they have missed a chance. This is not a bad game and is nice that it is Free, but I think the movie licence could have been used better.
