NINJUMP DELUXE [MAC] – REVIEW (73%)

14 Mar

NinJump Deluxe is an action dodge game by Halfbrick Studios.

The game puts you in control of a ninja who has to climb to as high as he can

The MAC version of the game gives you several different settings, these are:

  • Classic (same as the iOS version)
  • Jungle
  • Castle
  • Pirate

The idea of the game is very simple jump from the left to the right of the screen dodging attacks and obstructions on the sides of the screen. If you are hit, you fall and it is game over.

The game is controlled by tapping the space bar to jump, you will automatically get to the other side of the screen. That is it, the control is space bar.

The graphics and sound are nice, with the ninja being fairly cute.

On the upside:

  • Well designed user interface.
  • Good single player campaign and skirmishes.

On the downside:

  • Repetitive
  • The new modes add very little to the overall game.

Overall, I enjoy this game, but it really is far too repetitive with very little variation in the game play. It is one of those games you may play a lot for the first hours, then play for a few minutes each week, and then finally stop playing altogether. It is worth a download for £0.59, and you will get your moneys worth on that, but little more.
