TINY WINGS – REVIEW (76%)

09 Mar

Tiny Wings is a single touch controlled casual game by Andreas Illiger.

The game puts you in control of a tiny bird, who is not very good at flying. You need to help him fly between islands before it gets dark and he has to sleep.

There really not much to this game, make your way across the island collecting coins if you can, and then fly to the next and cross this one as well. The sunlight coming back as you cross to the next island.

The game is controlled by touching the screen to make the bird heavy and release to make it light. The tactic is simple, if there is a big slope down then hold down to gain speed and then release and the bird should shot up the up ramp and get some airtime.

The only advancements in the game appears to be the improvement in your nest.

The graphics and sound are nice and cute.

On the upside:

  • Cute game
  • Simple to play

On the downside:

  • Repetitive
  • Not much to bring you back.

Overall, this is a fun little game to play from time to time, but there is nothing that will keep you coming back, it will more than likely end up in a folder of games to play in queues, but unless an update adds something special this end up disappearing from your device in the long term. All this said, it is a great little game for young kids as it is simple and cute, my three year old loves it.
