Tiki Towers 2 is a physics based puzzle game released by GameHouse.
This game is the follow up to Tiki Towers, this sequel follows the same style of game play. This is entering a puzzle in build mode, build your tower or structure, then release the monkeys from a box to see if they can escape the level and hopefully pick up a few bananas on the way.
This second game has a storyline, rather than the island hoping in the original, in this game, an evil gorilla dictator has sound down your planem making it crash land on his island, and he has stolen both your plane and your cargo of bananas. So your plan is to get to his mansion and then escape the island.
Gameplay wise the application presents you with a box containing your monkeys and an exit that must be reached. You are given a limited amount of building materials and need to make sure the monkeys can climb or swing to the exit. You can take as long as you like building the structures, but when you click the box the action starts.
The graphics and sound are both good. The music is a little repetitive. The graphics of the monkeys are as cute as the original version.
On the upside:
- Nice little puzzle game
On the downside:
- Sometimes a solid structure is weak, but you do not know why.
- You will find yourself retrying levels several times trying to get things just right.
Overall, this game is well designed and looks great. The game plays as well as the original, however, it seems be have become more difficult in the way the structures built seem to be weaker, and break even when they would have been more solid in the original. Is this a good or bad thing, it is hard to say, but you have to think a bit differently when solving the screens.
