Itsy Bitsy Spider HD is an educational application released by Duck, Duck, Moose.

The application opens to a quick instruction screen that tells you can slide and poke items in the game. The screen then shows Itsy at the bottom of the drain pipe (water spout), and there are lots of things you can touch on the screen. Some of are very random, like things falling out of the window, touching the spider triggers the next scene and the fly gives some educational facts.

Another nice idea is that you can record your own voice singing the song to kids.

The graphics are cute, colourful and fun. The sound is generally good, but the song does sound a little tinny.

On the upside:

  • Bright and colourful
  • Lots to interact with

On the downside:

  • Soon gets tired for older kids.
  • Limited amount of screens.

Overall, this is good application and fun for very young kids 2-3 years old. However, they will not really be interested in the facts the fly is telling them, and older kids get bored of the app fast.
